Hello everyone! I'm new and haven't posted yet. I've been looking for a sock pattern that doesn't call for worsted weight yarn. I really like knitting my socks with fingering weight. Seems like all the ones without pictures are chunkier weight socks. So I decided to knit the Aran-braid socks and make them longer, I'm not fond of ankle socks. Hopefully I won't see anybody's before I'm done. I like the idea of it being a surprise. I think to ensure that, I will just check back in when I have my first one done. It may be a while since I have four pairs of socks on my needles currently. Yikes! Happy knitting!

  • I think a lot of them have pictures, but the patterns on the socknitters website are (or at least can be) indexed by yarn weight. Here's the direct link.

  • Four pairs? Yikes is right! Looks like this is just the right kind of KAL for you...

What's your preferred method of sock knitting? Do you have all four pairs on dpn's, or do you use 2 circ's or the magic loop?
