Hi everyone! My name is Jessica. I have been searching for period patterns and I finally found a pattern for elizabethan stckings without a picture, so I think I am going to do those.I found them at webzoom.freewebs.com/bessdarnley/Stockings.pdf I haven't decided on what yarn I am going to use yet. I am waiting on an order from knit picks with some of their new gloss sock yarn, so I may wait until that arrives, since all the sock yarn in my stash is fairly colorful. (my lorna's in watercolor might be a bit too bright for elizabethan stockings don't you think?) If my order is here by friday, I will CO on the way to the Bristol Ren Faire. How perfect would that be?! Anyway, I can't wait to get started and see what everyone else comes up with!

  • Jessica, I think I will use this pattern too in some plain colored wool. I started one pair of socks, but they won't count for the Mystery Sock because I'm just making up a pattern rather than following a published one without a picture. Please post pictures of your progress, etc. as you go. Cheers.
