hello all! i signed up back in august, and then promptly got very busy with other things. BUT! all is good, as i have finally picked a pattern, and will be working on the socks over the next couple of weeks.

i've selected the smocked socks (aka "sock pattern, sort of") pattern. so far i think only one other participant, costume chick has selected it, and i was very good and didn't look at her photos. =] not sure what yarn i'll be using yet, i'll post more details soon!

  • I'm doing the smocked socks too. I'm on the foot of the first one. The smocked pattern is tricky at first. I had to rip it out and strart over a few times. I would suggest using needles a size larger for the leg than for the foot. The smocked fabric is pretty thick and easier to knit with bigger needles.
